Refund Policy

We understand that circumstances may arise where you need to request a refund in relation to tutor services offered on our platform. This policy outlines our refund procedures and eligibility criteria.
When Can I Get a Refund?
If you are a Student
- Your tutor does not show up for the scheduled class.
- Your tutor cancels the class at least 24 hours before the class but fails to reschedule and deliver the class within three days.
- Your tutor cancels the class less than 24 hours before it starts.
No Refund
- You will not receive a refund if you are unable to attend the class.
- You will not receive a refund if you do not show up to the scheduled class.
Refund Types
All refunds will be issued to the original payment method such as credit/debit card, Apple Pay, or PayPal. Your bank or payment provider may deduct transaction fees which TutorTod is not responsible for.
If You Are a Tutor – When You Get Paid
- If a student does not show up for a purchased class, the tutor will receive full payment.
- If the tutor cancels with at least 24 hours notice and reschedules and delivers the class within three days.
When Tutors Do Not Receive Payment
- If the tutor cancels the class with less than 24 hours notice, the tutor will not be paid and the student will receive a refund.
When Students Cannot Receive a Refund
- If you violated the Terms of Use or platform rules.
- If you violated applicable laws.
- If your account has been suspended or terminated.
- If the purchase was made during a promotional discount.
- If the issue is caused by your own internet connection or device.
- If you submit the refund request after 7 days.
- If you did not attend the scheduled class.
- If you cancelled your booking.
- If you are dissatisfied with the tutor’s teaching style.
Refund Requests and Payment Queries Process
Students and tutors must submit refund requests or payment queries within seven days of the scheduled class.
- The name of the student or tutor and class details.
- The reason for the refund request.
- Supporting evidence or documentation.
TutorTod will review the request and respond within 10 business days. If approved, refunds will be processed within 14 business days.
Policy Amendments
TutorTod reserves the right to amend this policy at any time. Users are encouraged to review this policy periodically for updates.
